I had a look online for a campsite which was fairly local and found visitironbridge.co.uk - which listed The Halfway House Inn as the most local campsite - I thought Hurrah! Brilliant , local campsite and at the back of a pub, what more could we ask for.
Well I'll start the list with signs, not to the pub, that was very well signposted, but signs for things like the toilets and/or showers. Actually after asking it was ONE shower for the whole site to use - they must have had at least 25 vans on hookup and another 25 tents around their camping field and it was indeed one shower - which looked like you had to go through someone's store room to get to it. And it definitely needed a more frequent visit from Mrs Mop than it got. Needless to say we won't be hurrying back. Ironbridge probably, that campsite no (unless they put proper facilities in!!)
Despite the campsite we had a lovely weekend in the glorious sunshine!
Enjoy the pics ;D
Jacob was in charge of the camera most of the weekend - but we still thought this sign was funny (one day I expect we'll grow up, in the meantime we had a good giggle!!)
These were the campest Morris Dancers we've ever met - they were quite entertaining and had a big crowd but mostly people were asking each other why pink? None of them volunteered an answer!!
This horse is called Casey and it bit Jake, actually bit him and left teeth marks!
The town cryer was 7 ft tall!! I'm 5'4" and he's standing on the ground next to me!
Nick and Marv having a good giggle about the Dog Inn which if you say it quickly sounds like dogging... We held the traffic up while this pic was taken!!
