Garage Security

Hey folks its been a while since I've showed my err.. text on here.

Just popping on to remind everyone about keeping garages, workshops and sheds secure. A bit of a no brainer really but even when all seems safe a few extra precautions help.
Unfortunately as you may have guessed this is not an unprompted warning as last weekend my garage off of underwood lane in crewe was broken into rather subtly by ripping the up and over door off its hinges! kinda odd how nobody heard anything eh?! so consequently My halfords tool chest and tools collected over the years have been liberated along with my power tools, socket set, welder, gas bottle regulator, my camo auto darkening helmet, compressor and associated air hoses and tools, a pair of alloy wheels of my brothers motor (Wolfrace Asia tech Triads if anyone see's em).

But the thing that concerns me the most is that some specific Beetle parts have dis-appeared too! Namely a set of 1600 barrels and pistons which have had the rings removed, an EMPI stinger trumpet, 2 rear quarter repair panels and a drivers side door in gold with a flower, a peace symbol and quicksilver stickers on the 1/4 glass. the rotten door was left so obviously had time to be selective. This pains me to think that this is the doing of someone from 'the scene' Parts for the Mini in there were left behind! bad apples in every bunch it seems.

So again protect ya belongings lock them away when not in use and bolt the cabinets down. At least that way it'll take time and they'll have bloody earned it when they feel it appropriate to help themselves!

I've been quite descriptive just in case any happens to be offered any of the above, give me a holler.

On the plus side as I didn't like the idea of anyone coming back for the new parts destined for the Bug they have gone up to be stored with the car wher its having the work done so hopefully the pile of parts will shrink and I'll have the motor back :D

Got this guy workin on it http://www.rgpcustomfabrication.co.uk

Hope to see y'all soon

Jake
